Founded in 2014 as Vail Youth Symphony, the Southern Arizona Youth Symphony brings high-quality orchestral music opportunities to Pima County Student-Musicians. SAYS is committed to supporting young musicians on their journey both musically and personally.
About Us
SAYS offers four levels of
auditioned ensembles:
SAYS Strings Orchestra
For young musicians with 1-2 years of experience on a string instrument such as violin, viola, cello, or bass.
SAYS Chamber Orchestra
For intermediate musicians with 2-4 years of experience on violin, viola, cello, or bass.
SAYS Symphony Orchestra
For advanced musicians with 4+ years of experience on violin, viola, cello, or bass, or 3+ years of experience on woodwind, brass, or percussion instruments.
SAYS Vivace
Our premier chamber ensemble. Instrumentation varies each year depending on audition results.
