How much is Tuition?
Small Group String Lessons are $60 per session (5 weeks)
Who can join?
Youth ages 8-20 with at least one year of experience on a string instrument or at least 2-3 years on a wind/brass/percussion instrument.
*See FAQ below for information on options for string musicians with 0-1 year of experience.
How can I pay you?
VYS/SAYS greatly appreciates tuition payments in cash or by check. Credit card payments can be made online at the end of registration.
Tuition rates paid by credit card are slightly higher to include processing fees.
Cash or check payments can be made at designated practices. (Emails will go out with tuition collection dates.) Please put payments in an envelope with student(s) names on it.

Where do rehearsals and concerts take place?
Our rehearsals happen at Mica Mountain High School in the band room. Periodically, we have to practice at an alternate location due to Mica Mountain not being available. We will send out information about alternate practice locations and remind students at practice.

Do you offer private lessons?
We currently offer small group string lessons for musicians with 0-1 year of experience. Please visit our Members section for more information.
When are rehearsals?
Rehearsals are typically held every Monday night from 6 – 8 p.m. throughout the school year. There will be no rehearsals on non-school days following the Vail School District Student High School Calendar. Please view the current calendar in the Events section of the website.
How many concerts do you have a year?
SAYS performs 2 concerts a year- typically in early December for the Fall Semester and early May for the Spring Semester.
Are you a non-profit?
Yes! We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. We do our best to keep tuition rates as low as possible while still being able to meet our financial obligations. Donations are greatly appreciated!
